Short Bio: Junchul Chun is a professor in the department of computer science and a principal investigator of the Graphics and Image Processing Research Laboratory at Kyonggi University, South Korea. He received a B.S. degree from Chung-Ang University majoring in computer science. He also received M.S. and Ph.D. degrees from the department of computer science and engineering at the University of Connecticut, USA. He was a visiting research scholar in PRIP (Pattern Recognition and Image Processing) Lab at Michigan State University and University of Colorado at Boulder, 2001 and 2009 respectively. He has worked as a chief director of CCSRC (Contents Convergence Software Research Center) at Kyonggi University from 2010 to 2016. He was the president of KSII(Korean Society of Internet and Information) during 2015. He has served as a CO-EIC of KSII Transactions on Internet and Information Systems (TIIS), which is SCIE-indexed journal. He has also worked as an Acting President of Kyonggi University during June. 2022- July 2023. His major research fields are augmented reality, vision-based human computer interaction, and computer graphics.
